1 posts | Ok just want to start off saying yeah green day is a great band but what I hate is the way people refer to it as a punk band the future punk rock and which is all a lie I've lived my life as a true punk as so they say and green day is no punk rock music. Punk is in the streets like when someone asked what is punk I kick a garbage can and said that's punk so he kicked a can and said that's punk I said no that's trendy punk is wearing studs on your fake leather jacket cuz ur to poor to pay for the real thing it's taking that 40oz cobras cap and marking it on your arm it's running into the pit know I'll come out in pain wearing steel toe boots and stomping on the guy who tried to take it cig. with no return punk is a sort of family to me. So I'm not trying to put green day down but it really isn't punk it is rock a diffrent style but just not punk. If you want true punk go listen to career soldiers the casualties some germs. the adicts that there is true true punk if u want punk go listen to the adicts (joker in the pack) |
