I think what she is talking about in this song is how much she loves someone, but knows that their leaving her is inevitable. It is so sad. But besides that, the lyrics just blew me away and her voice just left me standing here.... lost in her sea of words. |

It feels somewhat melancholy because the singer shows emotion for the subject, but in the same breath allows the subject to walk away from what they have together. The song has a slight depressing feel to it, since the singers lyrics follow the "if you truly love it, set it free" idea. Written very well and directly from the heart, that's how the best music is made  |
