She is obviously proud of where she came from and she wants to make them proud of her. It shows how much she cares for her family and friends.
Oh yeah, to those who think she is a slut or white trash...just because she sings about how life is in the less fortunate places like trailors or singing about "Wear my jeans a little tight to watch the boys come undone".
