Is it talking about a physical civil war? if so, was there a potential war when they wrote it? or was it talking about American as a result of the civil war from ages ago? or I kinda thought that maybe it was refering to the class war. It's all speculation....that's what i thought these places were for, but hey:

1 posts	My interpretation of this song is that Axl is making a statement that all wars are civil wars. That the world is one big country and whenever we fight wars, we're fighting our fellow countrymen.
