Hey Monday Hit the Road to Promote

 Hey Monday have begun touring to support the Oct. 7 release of their debut album, Hold On Tight. A joint venture between Columbia Records and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records, Hold On Tight is now available for pre-sale at gomerch.com, where the limited edition promotional package feature a CD, signed poster and drawstring Hey Monday bag for the low price of $15.
"It's refreshing to see girls taking over again," says Wentz of Hey Monday, whose frontwoman Cassadee provides an effervescent splash in the testosterone-filled world of modern rock. "Wasn't this club getting a bit boring full of boys? Cassadee proves that if you have the pipes and the drive, you can be heard. This record will have you singing long after you get out of your car. Hey Monday are a Coke can that has been shaken and is simply waiting to be opened..."
Fans are already experiencing that energy Wentz is talking about, as Hey Monday are currently on the road with The Cab, This Providence and A Rocket To The Moon through September. They will spend October and November on the road with The Academy Is..., We The Kings and Carolina Liar. The band recently completed shooting the video for their first single, "Homecoming," which will premiere on MySpace October 1st. |
