Released in 2010 in Belgium, Hooverphonic's latest studio album The Night Before came out in France only more than one year later. The new single "Anger Never Dies" is aired on radios. 12 songs between pop & orchestral music, with a new vocalist, Noémie Wolfs (who replaced Geike Arnaert). The band's new album is Hooverphonic With Orchestra, with their re-arranged songs & also the new track "Happiness". Hooverphonic has kept evoluting since their beginnings in 1997. One year after the release of A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular in 1996, the song "2Wicky" has been used for the soundtrack of 2 films : Bernardo Bertolucci's "Stealing Beauty" & Jim Gillespie's I Know What You Did Last Summer. In 1998, the song "Eden" appeared in Danny Cannon's I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. In 2000, it was the turning. Hooverphonic's album The Magnificent Tree has been successful in Europe, Israel & the United States. We'll remember the single "Mad About You". The same year, the Belgian trio performed for the European Football Championship. In 2005, Hooverphonic released No More Sweet Music. "Wake Up", "You Hurt Me" & "Dirty Lenses" did well in Belgium, but the rest of Europe didn't follow them. "Wake Up" has been aired on radios but sales didn't get higher. After that, Hooverphonic broke the contract with Sony BMG & signed to the independent label PIAS. To know more about Hooverphonic, check their official site or their Facebook. chartsinfrance.net |
