1. The spirit of a dead person, especially one believed to appear in bodily likeness to living persons or to haunt former habitats.
2. The center of spiritual life; the soul.
Hailing from the suburbs of Long Beach, CA comes Epitaph's newest signing, I Am Ghost. This ensemble of young, extremely talented musicians with a fetish for vampire movies, Halloween toys and Stephen King novels has adopted the darker side of contemporary culture as the dictum and basis for its music. The result is one of the most visually engaging, fun and original new bands to burst upon the scene in quite some time.
Featuring a finely woven web of sinister guitars, blaring intense rock and hardcore rhythms, atop spitfire drumming and the intensely emotional resonance of a classically trained violinist and pianist, I Am Ghost have truly formed a sound and style that can only be called one thing: unique.
Having been a band for only a few months, I Am Ghost entered a local Orange County studio with very little money, but tons of passion and creative determination. The result is their impressive We Are Always Searching EP, which has made a huge splash in their local Orange County area. With a self-made EP and only a few shows under their belt, I Am Ghost already have a reputation for amazing theatrical performances, sold-out shows and a dedicated contingent of fans that has steadily grown from nearly every scene: hardcore, punk, goth, emo, etc.
Doing it “the old fashioned way,” I Am Ghost managed to pass-out over 4,000 CDs by hanging out at local shows and events. This technique of self-promotion eventually paid off as the band was formally asked to open for Tsunami Bomb in front of a crowd of over 1,000. Naturally, the band jumped at the opportunity and accepted the offer - although they had never played a true “live show” themselves!
Their stellar performance as opening act for Tsunami Bomb lead to the band’s first headlining show, which took place at Chain Reaction in Orange County. The engagement managed to sell out two weeks in advance and since then, every live show the band has played has had a similar degree of success!
Consisting of Steve Juliano on vocals, Kerith Marcantonio on violin & vocals, Brian Thomas on bass, vocals and piano, Gabe Iraheta on one guitar, Timoteo Rosales on the other guitar and now Ryan Seaman on drums, I Am Ghost are now ready to bring their special brand of darkly melodic angst-ridden music to the masses.

| Most amazing band in the world right now. Most talented, too.
The only thing is, if you don't like vampires, you probably shouldn't listen to them. They, like me, like vampires.
But if you like vampires and truly talented guitarist, drummers, bassists, pianists, violinists, singers and screamers, you should listen to I Am Ghost.
