Jessica Márquez is a former French singer, born on October 30, 1978 in Thionville, France.
She started as a contestant for La Nuit des Stars in 1998. 3 years later, she failed at the Popstars casting and took a chance to participate at Star Academy first season, aired on TF1. She ended as a semifinalist.
The following year, Jessica signed to Island (Universal) and released her debut single "Si Fragiles", followed by "Tout Se Dire". Her third single, "Maria Magdalena", French adaptation of Trigo Limpio's 1978 single, allowed her to release her debut album À Fleur De Peau in October 2003. Unfortunately, her fourth single "Ce Que Les Filles Ont Sur Le Cœur" has been unnoticed and Jessica parted ways with Universal.
In March 2007, she released the pop single "On S'Abîme" on Heben (Sony BMG Music Entertainment).
On January 31, 2009, she signed to Spidart and collected 50,000 € for her album De Tout Et De Rien, 2 months later. But the album remained unreleased because of the liquidation of the net label in January 2010.
In February 2012, Jessica appeared in NRJ12's Encore Une Chance. The same year, she released her second album Les Filles Du Calvaire. It has been co-written with André Petiteau, Sandrine Roy and François Welgryn and composed by Marc Chouarain, Isabel Cramaro and André Petiteau. The first single has been "Conne D'Amour", which video has been directed by Pierre Nogueras.
In May 2013, she announced the end of her musical career on Facebook.
