He lived a state away though, and I would drive there and he would drive here. We shared a love of music, and frequently sang together at churches. This song is such a sweet thing, because when he told me this song reminded him of me, I had been gone 10 days. However, the last time that I drove down there, he broke up with me just before a John Mayer concert. He said it was God's will, and I didn't understand at the time, but he was right. He said, "We'll get back together soon." He tried to get me back, but I met someone else at college, who I actually ended up marrying. He was nothing like the guy before. BUT HE COULD PLAY THE GUITAR! It was a difficult decision, but I had to stop contact with him. We didn't talk for 2 years. It's awkward, but we talk now. I'm a married woman, and he understands that. I wouldn't have the situation be any other way, but then again, a woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets, and everytime this song comes to mind, I go back to those times. Not to mention, this is a wonderfully written ALBUM as a whole. Incubus is one of the most talented bands of all time.
