| 8 posts | Song comment @ Must Have Got Love The "calling card" for arguably the best live act from the 70's. This songs studio version gets almost ZERO air play on the classic rock stations, because of THIS live version. Actually named "Musta Got Lost", this version is called "love", within the "Geil" fans because of Peter Wolf's poetic yet playfully silly rant in it's beginning which is proof of the fun these guys had on the road together AND with their fans. I'm actually only old enough to know of these guys from their 80's hits from the Freeze Frame lp, and from my sisters being fans during the 70's. To this day, after seeing the likes of Led Zeppelin, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, and many others in concert back then, they both still say "When we were going to 'Geils', we knew it was going to be a party for everyone in Cobo". This song overall, may be an easily forgotton classic, but it is ALWAYS remembered and smiled over by those who know it...besides, who could deny "Ooba Gooba with the green teeth"? |
