Oh yeah!
What can be better than a nice chill morning together with Jack's voice in the background making some "hala ka ukulele". Don't speak hawaiian, but I am sure we all know what it means.

Hala ka ukulele or la ka ukulele? After listening to the song several times there may be 2 translations. "Hala ka ukulele" is similar to a hawaii local slang (pidgin english) also said as "Hana kuku lele", which is "shame on you" which originated in the sugar plantations. "La Ka Ukulele" is something like "Ukulele Day". In Hawaiian, "La" is day and "Ka Ukulele" is "the ukulele". The Ukulele is a local musical instrument, usually 4, 6, or 8 strings. Google ukulele to see photos. I'm guessing bruddah Jack humorously means shame on you. Aloha!  |

Jack said hala ka ukulele Mama made a baby
was kinda like the song "Tom and Ana sitting in the tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G in Hawaii and his wife just had a baby...so that's what the lyrics mean.
