 Though her come-back in French charts was rather disappointing (N°43 with 2,655 albums sold), Janet Jackson was better in the United States : she entered directly N°1 !
Michael Jackson's sister is the new N°1 in American charts, after Jack Johnson's album Sleep Through The Static : for the first week, Janet sold 181,000 copies of her new album Discipline. It's her first N°1 since All For You in 2001 !
Discipline is her first album released on Island (headed by her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri, a label from Universal). In 2004, Damita Jo sold 381,000 copies & in 2006, 20 Y.O. sold 296,000 copies one week after the album release.
Also, the singer is playing in Tyler Perry's film "Why Did I Get Married", N°1 in the American box-office. This film will be released in France soon. Janet is on top in the States !
