27-07-2008 20:03 | 0 reaction(s) | add reply
Jean-Jacques Goldman was born on October 11, 1951 in Paris, France. His father was Polish & his mother was German. When he was young, he played the violin, the piano & the guitar, then he studied sociology. In 1975, back from military service, he married Catherine & got 3 children (Caroline, born in 1977, Michael, born in 1979 & Nina, born in 1984). He joined the band Taï Phong & recorded 3 albums during 4 years. After that, Jean-Jacques met a producer, Marc Lumbroso & started his solo career in 1981 with his first hit "Il Suffira D'Un Signe". Other hits followed : "Quand La Musique Est Bonne", "Je Te Donne" & "Je Marche Seul".
He continued recording albums, 4 of them were recorded with Carole Fredericks & Michael Jones. Despite his success, Jean-Jacques kept being a simple man, getting involved for charity like "Les Enfoirés", created in 1986. In the 90's, he wrote songs for Céline Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Patricia Kaas & Florent Pagny before going back in 2001 with his album Chansons Pour Les Pieds. In 25 years, the singer/songwriter was loved by the audience. Unfortunately, he paused in his career, releasing no albums.
