This is our last goodbye
I hate to feel the love between us die
But it's over
Just hear this and then I'll go
you gave me more to live for
more than you'll ever know
This is our last embrace
Must I dream and always see your face
Why can't we overcome this wall
Baby, maybe it is just because I didn't know you at all
Kiss me
Please kiss me
But kiss me out of desire, baby
And not consolation
You know it makes me so angry
'Cause I know that in time
I'll only make you cry
This is our last goodbye
Did you say "No, this can't happen to me"
And did you rush to your phone to call?
Was there a voice unkind in the back of your mind saying
"Maybe ... you didn't know him at all"
Well
The bells out in the church tower chime
Burning clues into this heart of mine
Thinking so hard on her soft eyes and the memory
Of her sighs that it's over
It's over
-sighs- He is dead. He drowned in a swimming pool from memory. So tragic. He had a great voice, and some lovely tunes. This is one of my personal favourites, along with "Everybody Here Wants You"
No ... it means that from memory he drowned in a swimming pool. It means nothing more than I can't remember exactly how he died off the top of my head.

vocal Jeff Buckley was a great musician. I stumbled upon his music by accident. I was hooked immediately. His death saddens me; he was such a beautiful and talented person. I also think that people should start listening to his music. His haunting voice will give you chills.

vocal yeh he is amazin i herd one of his songs on a music channel recently and have become hooked ive told all my m8s bout him 2 hes amazin! and he rote this song its not a cover btw xx but it is so sad he dies so young, the best r always taken away 1st
This song has really become very special to me, musically it's simply one of the best songs ever, but the lyrics make it that special. I've only just experienced a broken love, and this song almost exactly tells my story, it's for 95% appliable on me. The last couple of days I've listened to this song for at least 50 times, really.
Jeff Buckley is amazing, but I just thought i ought to say that not all his work is 'genious' i mean take lilac wine for example. Hardly a 'show stopping' performance in my opinion. Although, if any of you are considering buying an album of his, Grace is definatley the best bet.
I believe that Lilac Wine was a cover? Anyway, I love this one, it's so emotional but in a way that doesn't get too under your skin, know what I mean? Jeff, we miss you.

vocal Jeff pased away swimming in the Mississippi. However it was the suction from the undercurrent of a large ship that pulled him under. He was there with a close friend taking a break while waiting for his band to arrive that very day to begin recording his new album. Possibly the last song he sang was 'Whole Lotta Love'' Led Zepplin. He was singing on the shore with his friend while listening to a music box.
