| I agree about the lyric "so I'll check the weather wherever you are cos i wanna know if u can see the stars tonight." That line was my messenger name for months! also like in this song "all you need is love is a lie cos we had love and we still sed goodbye" but i think maybe its partly the way its sang rather than the actual words. Sometimes its hard to distinguish between. There's also the "and it stings when its nobody's fault" part... actually the whole song is amazing what am i saying haha! the "air you took and the breath u left" part reminds me of Foo Fighters- Everlong. actually this not only the best john mayer song, but it's the best love song that i've ever heard. it gives me hope that there's still decent guys out there. | This song is lyrically genius. Throughout the song there's a tone of sadness, yet when he says:

So I can say that this is the way that I used to be
It lightens the mood and always makes me smile. He desperately wants to be with her and apparently wants her to know that he'd change anything for her. | I've known this song for a long time, but then I listened to it once not too long ago and realized "wow, I love this song." | I think this song is kinda sad. It's about this couple who had to break up for different reasons and the guy is kind of wondering "but WHY does it have to be like this? I'm willing to change to make it work". I don't fully get that line about sleeping inside his coat. Yes that part is romantic but then he's like "Oh, right. I can't find a flight". So either he really can't find a flight to get over there and do that romantic thing, or he just doesn't have the means to. I think he means that if he could, he'd go straight to her, but he can't find a flight so wherever she is, he can't get there. so instead he'll just wait for her till she comes back home.
