Warner Music France just said the release date of Johnny Hallyday's new album on November 12, 2 years after Ma Vérité, released on Universal, his former label.
The singer flew to California to record 20 songs for his bluesy album with Yvan Cassar (Florent Pagny, Claude Nougaro & Grégory Lemarchal). Bertrand Cantat, Ry Cooder & B.B. King refused Johnny's offer for this album. On the other hand, U2's singer Bono composed a song, "I Am The Blues". Also, "Sarbacane", Francis Cabrel's song from 1989, will be covered by Johnny on this new album.
Johnny Hallyday's father-in-law, André Boudou, was recently sentenced to 6 years of prison for tax evasion, misappropriation of funds and falsified accounts. Between 1995 & 1998, he embezzled 396 000 euros from personal ends within the framework of the exploitation his nightclub in Cap D'Agde. Also, the singer just lost his mother.
