Johnny Hallyday - News

New single composed by Calogero

"Cela Ne Finira Jamais" is Johnny Hallyday's new single, composed by Calogero, the first from his new album, released on October 27. Artists who collaborated to it were Christophe Maé, Francis Cabrel, Raphaël, Grand Corps Malade, David Hallyday... & a duet with Joss Stone.

Johnny Hallyday will release his new album on October 27, only 11 months after Le Coeur D'Un Homme, released in November 2007. The singer only sings what songwriters offer him : beyond composing for the N°1 French singer, the album sales get very well...

The album will be a rock one, after the previous blues one & the first single will be "Cela Ne Finira Jamais" ("an epic rock symphony with martial strings & a dark & intense climate"), written by Patrice Guirao & composed by Calogero. For this album, Francis Cabrel wrote "Je M'Arrête Là", Christophe Maé for "Etreinte Fatale", Raphaël for "Je N'Appartiens Qu'À Toi" & Grand Corps Malade & David Hallyday for "Si Mon Coeur". There will also be a duet with British singer Joss Stone, on the cover of Righteous Brothers' hit "Unchained Melody" (N°6 in 1991, soundtrack of "Ghost").

"On this album, there'll be sweet melodies, like slows & rock'n'roll songs. From today, not from the seventies" Johnny Hallyday said.

Also, the singer should play in a film with Val Kilmer & Mickey Rourke, about motorcycle runners. The shooting must be done before his tour, if not, it's over. He should also play in a western...

His goodbye tour "M'Arrêter Là" will go at Paris' Stade De France in May 2009 & also in Madagascar & Hanoï (where his daughter Jade was born). A 3-CD pack "Best Of" has been released this summer, including most of his hits, like "Retiens La Nuit", "Marie" & "Mon Plus Beau Noël".
