This song is such a great reminder that no matter how I'm feeling Jesus' love is still there ready to pick me up. It's just such a great song! |

At camp this summer, I was helping lead worship with a guy named Matt and we were picking out songs to sing the next morning, and I asked him if he knew "Hungry (Falling On My Knees)". He didn't, so I taught it to him (actually, I wasn't on the worship team at this point - he just needed help picking out some songs to sing for worship, so I asked him, "Do you know 'Hungry (Falling On My Knees'?" and he said no, so I taught it to him, then he asked me if I'd like to lead worship with him and, obviously, I accepted!). During the last camp I was there for this summer, Matt told the campers how he had just learned this song this summer and it's become his absolute favorite song since it reminds him that whenever he tries to find fulfillment in the world and it just leaves him empty, it's because only Jesus can give him true meaning, true completeness. He talked about it for quite a while, and I felt tears in my eyes... What he said was all soooo true and I realized that God must've brought him into my life for one reason or another. We both grew a lot from each other and it was awesome. This song is beautiful. I absolutely love it. |
