 IS Julie Ann San Jose soon to be the next big star?
Others may beg to differ when they read or hear about how Julie Ann is being groomed by GMA Network to be so, but her career's recent movements would show that the truth might not be far from it. Julie Ann just finished a successful birthday concert at the Hard Rock Cafe on May 16, which was organized by GMA Artist Center and was well-supported by her mother studio. Her special guest performers were R&B singers Jay-R and Kris Lawrence. Aside from her regular Sunday gig as host and performer on Party Pilipinas, her birthday celebration-cum-concert she proved that singing is indeed her first love. In fact, she will launch her first album this June, which has tracks, which she composed and wrote herself. The talented teen's still untitled album will feature include nine original songs plus a bonus track, released under GMA Records. "Sana maging successful ang album ko. I really worked hard for it and I'm praying that my fans will enjoy it," hoped Julie Ann. On the acting side, as Tween Hearts continues to feature her love team with Elmo Magalona, she has already been given the storyline of their new TV series All for Love. They have already wrapped up a movie as well, titled Just One Summer, directed by Mac Alejandre. One of Julie Ann's birthday wishes is the success of all her projects. She admits that being blessed with lots of work puts the pressure on her but in a "good way." She is more driven to give "more than 100-percent" in everything she does. "Before, I felt out of place and now slowly dumarating lahat. Kailangan talaga ng hard work. Dati offending pag naririnig ko na 'sino ba yan.' Pero understandable naman kasi hindi naman ako kilala talaga. Ngayon na-re-recognize na din ako," she noted. But is her pleasant aura the result of a happy lovelife? "Work aura po yan. Wala po sa isip ko ang magka-boyfriend ngayon. Ang pag-bo-boyfriend, mabilis lang yan pero kailangang maging focused muna sa work," she stressed. So there's nothing going on with Elmo Magalona? "Wala akong nararamdaman kay Elmo because buddies lang talaga kami. We are very comfortable with each other," she ended. |
