Katie Melua was born in 1984 in Georgia (ex-URSS). Her father was a surgeon & she spent 8 years between Tbilissi & Batumi. At 9, her family moved to Northern Ireland, in Belfast, where she got friends at St. Catherine's Primary School & at Dominican College in Fortwilliam.
