New single, Sugar Mama

After "My Name Is Trouble", Keren Ann takes her gun out & becomes "Sugar Mama". She reveals her gangster side in her new album 101. Listen to her new single !

In February, Keren Ann released her sixth studio album, in 11 years of career. Playing with the number 1, she put symbols of her life everywhere : 101 is the artist's autobiography, who chose "My Name Is Trouble" as the first single. New haircut & vintage look for an electronic song with acoustic sounds. Keren Ann chose "Sugar Mama" as the follow-up, a rhythmed song. Like a snack, it's easy to eat. Let's hope that the video will be as sweet as "My Name Is Trouble".

Whereas the beautiful woman sings in French & in English, it's the third time she releases a full English album. This language change hasn't shocked the audience, still excellent. In an interview in February, she said : "If you love an artist, you will listen to her album, either in English or in French. The languages are tools. I remember when I was a TV, a journalist was frustrated about the 2 French songs on Nolita. I told her not to listen to it, because I consider that an album must be listened, either in English or in French. We listen to it because we love the artist's production. I have never had such a problem with my audience, who has been following me for more than 10 years. Recently, I recorded a song for the tribute album to Alain Bashung. I covered one of his songs, in French of course, it was a great pleasure."

She may get as much pleasure on stage, from May, going on May 24 & 25 at Paris' Cigale.
