With his easy cocktail of soul, funk, R&B & pop, Kevin Michael recalls some great singers of the past, also bringing something new on his first self-titled album.
Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, to a Black father and an Italian mother, Kevin Michael was surrounded by music. "There was a record that used to be played on our dusty record-player, it was Patti Labelle's Greatest Hits. My mother didn't want to me to go to the commercial centre because I could easily shout "Me So Horny" ! (laughs)" said the singer.
Realise his dream, that's Kevin's objective with this first album released on October 22, and the new single "It Don't Make Any Difference To Me" was produced by Wyclef Jean. "I'm going to be everyone at the same time. Mister Global, Mister Universe. I've got the hits to suceed, and wait for me to be on stage !" he modestly said.
So, flash in the pan like Nate James or triumph like James Morrison ? To be continued.
