The Kills Make Midnight Boom

British rock duo The Kills have released Midnight Boom, their much-anticipated follow-up to 2005's No Wow, on March 18 via Domino.
The lo-fi album was completely written by band members Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart and recorded in Benton Harbor, Michigan and Brooklyn, New York last spring and summer. The Kills took what they had back to London to be mixed by Tome Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Hot Chip). Production duties were shared by Hince and Alex Epton (XXXchange of Spank Rock).
The album's first two songs, "U.R.A. Fever" and "Cheap & Cheerful," can be previewed on The Kills' MySpace page.
Hince recently became a staple in U.K. gossip rags for dating infamous supermodel Kate Moss, the ex-girlfriend of wild child Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty. |
