| The Song is about the battle between the old nature and the new nature once you become a Christian. The Apostle Paul wrote about this battle in himself when he said "For what I want to do I do not do..." (Rom. 7:15). We slip back into the old nature and our old habits so easily, in a sense "betraying" what Jesus has done to purchase us with His blood- we commit treason against our Lord!
