This song is astounding. The lyrics, the vocals, EVERYTHING. Chris Migliore's guitar solo on this is nothing less than sheer beauty. Everything about this song is amazing.
By the way, did you guys know that this song is part of a trilogy? Cristina Scabbia revealed in an interview that When a Dead Man Walks, Self-Deception (another rocking song!), and Comalies, when put together, are supposed to make up a story. Dead Man is about the person feeling trapped while in jail, Self-Deception is sort of when he's remembering the crime he committed and keeps lying to himself about how it wasn't his fault, and Comalies is when he's been killed.
