Lady Sovereign assembles 'Jigsaw' outing

 English rapper Lady Sovereign will hit the road this spring for a month-long North American trek behind her upcoming album, "Jigsaw."
The ambitious club outing gets going May 1 with a two-date stop in Canada, followed by an East Coast run that kicks off May 3 in Boston. The trek works its way down the coastline before heading west, ending up in San Diego, CA, for the final performance May 28. The full itinerary is listed below.
"Jigsaw," Lady Sovereign's impending April 7 release, marks the debut of her own label, Midget Records, and a distribution deal with EMI.
Lady Sovereign first garnered attention with her 2006 hit "Love Me or Hate Me," which led to an opening slot for Gwen Stefani and a contract with Def Jam. Following that ride, however, she left the limelight for a couple years. That downtime yielded "Jigsaw," which is rumored to be an album with pop influences that strays from her previous hip-hop style.
