AboutLaura Pausini was born on May 16, 1974 in Solarolo, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. When she was young, she performed with her father in piano-bars. In 1992, she met producer Angelo Valsiglio & recorded her first album, including her first hit "La Solitudine". Laura got known everywhere in Europe & each album was a success. In 1997, she sang for the Pope, in 1998, she performed with Luciano Pavarotti & in 2002, she recorded her first English album From The Inside. In 2003, she released a duet with Hélène Segara, "On N'Oublie Jamais Rien, On Vit Avec". In 2004, Laura released her album Resta In Ascolto & the Spanish version Escucha : following this album, she had sold 25 million copies everywhere in the world since her beginnings. In 2006, she released her album Io Canto, including 16 covers of Italian songs.
