Some news on the next album!
It has now been announced that the fourth album has Wade, Woolstenhulme and Soderberg as its lineup.
Two songs that are rumored to be on the album are "Crash and Burn" and "The Edge", which have both been played at concerts. "The Edge" is originally from Lifehouse's early days when they were still Blyss. Early during production, Jason said that roughly half the songs are (at least) piano driven. Many took this to imply that this album will be a further step away from the group's first two albums. To reinforce this belief, Lifehouse then contributed their previously unreleased song "Good Enough" as part of the soundtrack for the Disney film The Wild, which is a very mellow, acoustic guitar driven ballad. Inclusion of the song on Who We Are is speculated, though neither confirmed or denied by the band.
Who We Are is now complete, according to the band. Few songs have been confirmed by the band, but those that are, are claimed to "rock a little harder" than their self-titled album, Lifehouse.[1]. The band has confirmed that they intend to release Album Number Four in early 2007. Jason Wade has named three songs from the new album: "Signs of Life", "The First Time" and "Who We Are". Bryce Soderberg has confirmed that the song "Mesmerized" will be on the new album. The album is being recorded in Kiefer Sutherland and Jude Cole's recording studio.
On March 28, 2007, the band announced simultaneously on their MySpace and their Official Website that the album would be entitled Who We Are and would be released in June 2007, followed by a tour with the Goo Goo Dolls[2].
