A lot can happen to a person in five years, and no one knows this better than Lillix - the Canadian pop/rock band hailing from the small town of Cranbrook, British Columbia. The band was originally named Tigerlily formed in 1997 while still in their high school with orginal band members of guitarist/lead-singer Tasha-Ray Evin, keyboardist Lacey-Lee Evin, bassist Louise Burns, and drummer Sierra Hills. In 2001 the band was signed by Maverick Records and changed their name to Lillix. During the recording process of their debut album, band’s drummer “Hills” left the group and was replaced by Kim Urhahn.

In the summers of 2003, Lillix released their debut album titled “Falling Uphill” in Canada and United States. Falling Uphill was an international success spawning hits in the United States, Canada, and Asia. The album included contributions from producers like the Matrix (Avril Lavigne), Linda Perry (Pink), and Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette). The band toured the world to promote their album. The first single taken from the album was “It’s About Time” which became fan’s favourate on MTV’s Total Request Live where it spent 42 days before falling off the chart. The single also became popular due its similarity to Avril Lavigne’s music. During the popularity of their song the girls also made appearance on that show and discussed about their album and music genre. Their second single “What I Like About You” was featured as an official single for Lindsay Lohan’s movie “Freaky Friday” and became the theme song for the comedy series with same name What I Like About You. Tommorow was the third and final single from “Falling Uphill” which became the band’s third video to debut on TRL. In addition to the North American successes, Falling Uphill was a certified gold record in Japan.

After three years break, the group released their follow-up titled “Inside The Hollow” in with the admission of new drummer Alicia Warrington
