AboutLinda Marie Pira Giraldo, born 25th August 1985, is a Swedish rapper. She lives in Hässelby where she grew up, in western Stockholm.
Her mother Zulima and father Kjell met in Colombia, where he lived for 15 years and ran bars. In connection with her birth, the couple moved back to Sweden. Linda Pira attended high school, called Fryshuset, with singing as orientation. She studied with artists such as Lykke Li, Näääk and Sebastian Staxx.
Pira was noticed the fall of 2012 when she was featured in Stor's song Rom och Kush. During summer 2013 , she released the double single Bang Bang/Bäng Bäng. With The Salazar Brothers as producers she released her EP Matriarken in late 2013, released on Redline Records.
In 2013, a six episode documentary series aired on SVT Play called "Linda Pira - som du inte visste om". It is produced by Anneli Kustfält and Agnes Lo Åkerlind. Åkerlind described Pira with the words
Linda Pira accepted the award in the category of Best Newcomer in 2013 at the Grammy Awards in 2014.
March 2, 2014 the remix of Knäpper mina fingrar got on Digilistan. There are only female artists involved in the song: Linda Pira, Rawda, Vanessa Falk, Julia Spada, Joy, Sep, Rosh, Kumba and Cleo.
