| Song lyrics |
Just like the white winged dove
Sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
Whoo, whoo, whoo
Just like the white winged dove
Sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
Oo baby, oo, said oo
And the days go by
Like a strand in the wind
In the web that is my own
I begin again
Said to my friend, baby
Nothin' else mattered
Well he was no more than a baby then
Well he seemed broken hearted
Something within him
But the moment that I first laid
Eyes on him
All alone on the edge of seventeen
Just like the white winged dove
Sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
Oo baby, oo, said ooo
Just like the white winged dove
Sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
Oo baby, oo, said ooo
I went today maybe I will go again tomorrow, yeah yeah
And the music there it was hauntingly familiar
And I see you doing what I try to do for me
With the words of a poet and the voice of a choir
And a melody nothing else mattered
Just like the white winged dove sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
Oh baby, oo, said ooo
Just like the white winged dove sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
oo baby, oo, said ooo
The clouds never expect it
When it rains
But the sea changes colours
but the sea
Does not change
And so with the slow graceful flow of age
I went forth with an age old desire to please
On the edge of seventeen
Just like the white winged dove
sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
oo baby, oo, said ooo
Just like the white winged dove
sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
oo baby, oo, said ooo
Just like the white winged dove
sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
oo baby, oo, said ooo
Just like the white winged dove
sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
oo baby, oo, said ooo
Just like the white winged dove
sings a song
Sounds like she's singing
ooo baby, ooo said [7x]

way to ruin an amazing song... | 04-01-2006 04:45 Ammer | 122 posts
| I'm sorry, but I can't understand how anyone liked the original version. I know it's a classic but Stevie Nicks has a HORRIBLE voice, she did no justice to the song and Lindsay managed to give it some justice. It sounds like music when Lindsay does it. | 12-01-2006 14:25 ANRON | 238 posts

My thoughts exactly.
I just cannot understand how ANYONE could think that Lindsay's version is superior to Stevie Nicks'. While I was listening to this version I could feel my brain cells dying. WHY, oh WHY did Lohan have to butcher this classic song?!?! | 20-11-2006 01:40 Number | 10 posts
| And the only reason I gave the lyrics a 5 is because Stevie Nicks wrote this. The rest of Lindsay Lohan's version is garbage. | 16-01-2007 19:52 black_hole_89 | 209 posts

Oh my god....everyone shut up please. Lindsay covers this song fantastically. I, for heard the original before Lindsay's version and I can safely say, Lindsay's version is better. The song has good lyrics and all, but it's time the vocals were re-done, as Stevie's voice is just annoying. I love Lindsay's version. 10/10. | 25-02-2009 04:53 darksongbird |

| I agree, Ammer. I heard Stevie's version first and didn't want to hear it again until I heard Lindsay sing it.
I tried to d/l the original but Stevie's voice and the production are terrible. So I totally got annoyed and deleted it.
I'm gonna get Lindsay's version. |
