one of the many misinterpritations, along with breaking the habit, is that its about self mutilation. when in fact this song was aboutt Chester's experiences with abuse as a child. just thought id let you all know. and if you didnt know, Breaking the Habit is about chesters past addiction with marijuana as a teen. not suicide. |

| actually, mike wrote all the lyrics to breaking the habit, and chester wrote all the lyrics to easier to run, and everyone already knows that chester was a drug-addict, and he was addicted to HERIOIN(much like hes 'god' scott weiland of STP), and anyway, one our rights as fans is to be able to interpret the music to fit ourselves, is it not? read any LP interveiw, mike and chester say they purposely use common feelings in their songs to provoke the listeners to interperet the music differently. this song is great, but the concept of weakness just pisses me off. |

wow.. this is one of the only songs i've seen to have all five stars! anyways.. i LOVE this song soo much! and i think everyone does. it's such an easy song to relate to. and Chester's vocals are fckin incredible!
