"Lakini's Juice is a good title because the song is, for me, about the blood and the guts of samadhi. About you having to go through hell to reach heaven. I now use images in the lyrics I didn't come close to before: 'I rushed the lady's room took the water from the toilet, washed her feet and blessed her name'. I don't know what this means, exactly, but it's based on the idea that you must go through the deepest shit of human experience to find the meaning of life. That may seem dark or even depraved but it's about switching a knob in subconsciousness that let us to go over good and bad, over beauty and ugly, to reach a place that's free and peaceful. That's what Live always has tried to do, but I think it has come out much better this time. The whole mix of lyrics, melodies and music is more cerebral." | | 09-05-2006 06:13 Hogram |
