L.O.C. - Biography by Anders Tørsløv.

Liam O'Connor was born the 10th of July 1979 in Aarhus, Denmark. Liam is a nationwide known danish rapper, mostly know as L.O.C. He is probably the only danish rapper, who would really fit the description "Rap-Star"

History
Liam grew up with his danish mother Susan O'Connor and his irish father Dermot O'Connor. As you often hear him say, he is from the ghetto-areas in 8210 Aarhus West. Since he was sixteen, his releases count:
- 4 Solo albums (now working on a new one - releasedate still unknown)
- 2 Mixtapes
- 2 releases with the group 'Alzheimer Klinikken'
- 1 EP with the group 'B.A.N.G.E.R.S.
- Tabu EP'en with Troo.L.S. & U$O
- [i]+ lots of unreleased tracks, features, small projects etc.

His musical career started in the middle 90's, when L.O.C. founded the group Alzheimer Klinikken (The Alzheimer Clinique) with Chadi Abdul-Karim - C.A.K.
Inspired by the dirty west coast rappers like N.W.A., Eazy-E & Above the Law, the group released the demotape Respekten Stinker (The Respect Stinks). The tape was released in 500 copys, financed by the Streetshop owner Nicholas Monk. The lyrics mostly descriped alcohol, beef & the neighbourhood problems. After a surprising sellout, the tape was re-released by the distribution company Fab K.

Next stop was the selffinanced CD Første Træk (First step) in 1998, where the back then maybe the biggest danish rapper Jokeren featured on the number Møgbeskidte Køter (Dirty Dog). This release was primary known for the disstrack Horeunger (Whorekids), where the group told what the thought about the other danish group Kongehuset.

Alzheimer Klinikken splitted up, and now L.O.C. stated working more together with some other hiphoppers from Aarhus, U$O, DJ Rescue & Niggeren i slæden (The nigga in the ride). This ended out as the new group B.A.N.G.E.R.S. - probably the biggest succes the danish hiphop underground has ever seen. First step was the whitelabel EP called V.I.P. EP'en (The V.I.P. EP). The EP holded 4 tracks, and sold out all the 300 copys printed. Today, its seen sold on auctions for up to 500 DKK! (allmost 100 American Dollars). Thats a lot for 4 old tracks in Denmark.

After the B.A.N.G.E.R.S. Splitup, L.O.C. featured around and made new contacts. He kept contact with U$O, and quite randomly, he metsome new friends in the Tabu Records studio. Together with the new mates at Tabu and U$O, he founded the clique F.I.P.G.C. (Full Impact Production Gangsta Clique), which today still is an intact clique, working closely together.

Backed up by the new F.I.P, L.O.C. started off his soloalbum-trilogi in 2001, with his first album on a label: Dominologi. This album was allmost only produced by Tabu Records own producers 'Rune Rask' and 'Troo.L.S.', and promoted L.O.C. even closer to the normal danish community with two nationwide radio hits: Absinthe and Drik din hjerne ud (Drink out ya brain).

Second part of the trilogi was Inkarneret, which back then was one of the only danish rap albums, that ever sold platinum. L.O.C. was now on top in the danish rap game, and had four radiohits from this album: Pop det du har (Pop what'cha got), Hvem (Who), De Bitches (Those Biches) and Undskyld (Sorry). Undskyld was probably the biggest hit of them all.
