AboutLollipop, a girl group from Italy, were formed in 2001 on the international television sensation Popstars, a precursor to the Idol shows. The 5 members were Marta Falcone, Dominique Fidanza, Marcella Ovani, Veronica Rubino & Roberta Ruiu. They sang in English and Italian and were very popular in Italy. In spring 2004 the band announced they would no longer perform together, instead pursuing individual careers in music and television.
In 2006, Domy Fidanza participated to Star Academy sixth season in France, ending as the runner-up. In 2013, the original lineup minus Domy reunited for live shows.
