299 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal well crap....i cant believe i havent added a post for this one yet.... this is the southern rock anthem, and NOBODY would argue! it has everything in it that makes up an awesome song! i have loved it as long as i can remember, the lyrics are amazing and i have never ONCE gotten sick of this song before it was over! oh yeah.. and i have screamed FREEBIRD! once in a mall a long time ago when no authority (who knows who they are?) got up there doin some crappy song....haha, all the 10 and 11 year old girls probably thought i was "a total fur-eek!"

The way solos are done..awsome..This was a tragedy struck band..otherwise wud have ended being one of the greatest in the history..bst part is..EVEN THE BASS IS PLAYED LIKE LEAD.... Simply awsome....the songstarts and gives you that 'freebird' feeling...am listening to it right now...and lazily starts there after with the bass intro...'if i leave you tommorow..would you still remember me'....awsome maannnn..i am on a high...lemme listen it..

23 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal i love this song! but better then stairway to heaven...i don't no, some would argue. i personnally can't choose. but stairway to heaven never made me cry so maybe i do like free bird better. the lyrics are so honest its almost mean. i can't say Allen Collins is my favourite guitar player tho. lol don't hurt me hes way up there fo shizzle! hahaha look at me im gansta!

Then I decided to go ahead and download the song and wow... thats all I can say... the first 4 minutes of the song are awesome but man when I first heard that guitar solo i was absolutely amazed... a nearly 5 minute guitar solo played flawlessly. This song is amazing and yes it is definately way better than stairway to heaven... a great song with one of the best solos ever.
