I'm sorry.
I don't mean to remember.
It's true that I dream less often.
I'm not ashamed of that long December...
Your hand's coming down again.
I close my eyes and brace myself.
I only noticed your face.
No matter what you're gonna build my shell
No matter what you're gonna build my shell
I'm falling.
I'm shedding my skin; but it's not time I'm told.
I am aware of what you mean and by then I'm only ten years old.
I close my eyes and brace myself.
I only noticed your face.
No matter what your gonna build my shell
No matter what your gonna build my shell
My scars are yours today.
This story ends so good.
I love you and I understand that you stood where I stand.
I close my eyes and brace myself.
I only notice your face.
No matter what you're gonna break my shell
No matter what you're gonna break my shell
I'm done healing!
I'm done healing.
Okay.
Who ever the fuck like, corrected those lyrics is on crack.
She doesn't say 'and leave the salty taste' O.o
Never the less, this is an amazing song.
I dunno.
Am I the only person who was like, "WTF" when I found out they were a Christian band?
It's just sort of strange. I never thought I'd like a Christian band this much.
And what's up with cutting the beginning out of Breathe Today on the cd?

vocal omg! yeah the lyrics are wrong... she says "no matter what you're gonna break my shell" again instead of the salty taste thing...yeah well i LOVE this song and i LOVE flyleaf and they're one of my favorite bands. other than FOB(Fall Out Boy) and PATD (panic! at the disco) as you can see by my nickname.....yeah i love this song ! and i was really weirded out when i found out they were christian because lacey does all this screaming, but it makes sense, because they dont swear and they have a lot of songs about god. or relating to god. in some way.

If you were a True Flyleaf Fan you would know that they have Sung different versions of this song as well as almost all their Album songs. The Album versions does not include the "Leave the SaltyTaste" part but the other version does.
A lot of people get they idea that christian bands don't rock when in fact some of the best bands are christian but don't get popular cause christian doesn't sell well in mainstream music. I used to be (and sort of still am) a christian but I listen to mostly rock. Skillet (look up there last 3 cds, they are awsome), switchfoot, Relient K, as i lay dying, Flyleaf, 1000 Foot Krutch (Throw up your rock fist!), Petra, Life House, and Styper are all rock christian bands that made it to the radio. I know so many people that love the bands but have no idea that the bands are christian. I don't like the stereotype that christians don't have fun. I wasn't a christian for the first 13 years of my life and in those 13 years I have never rocked as hard as I did when I was christian. Not only is your face being blown off with the awsome guitar and drums but you are also moved by and incedible spirit. If you really checked out some of the bands you would find they are just as good (if not some being better) then some of the bands on the radio. I am not saying this because I used to be christian, but because I believe it to be true. And by the way,FOBPANDFREAK (think I got it right) why would screaming be an indication of not being christian? Dude, you want screaming go see skillet live! No one can scream like John Cooper.

vocal I agree! There are plenty of Christian bands that are so good and people write them off because of that label. That's probably why Flyleaf never said that they're a Christian band. The band members themselves are Christians.
Lacey: "We all share the same faith. And so when we deal with the whole 'Christian band thing', we kind of think about something POD says, like, 'If you're a Christian, it affects everything in your life. So if you're a plumber, does that make you a Christian plumber?' I don't know the answer. We're a band, it's part of who we are, so it comes out in our music, and it's the fuel for what we do. And finding faith saved my life. So I'm not ashamed of it at all. And most of our album reflects that."
Jared: "Yeah, there are religious undertones in our music. all five of us are Christians, and every part of our career revolves around our faith. we don't want to force Christianity down anyone's throat though..we just want to be honest and show people that there is hope. all of our songs are true stories about things that we have been through, or moments that have really impacted our lives."

vocal It took me a while to actually like this song, admittingly. The rhythm was a bit annoying at first but then after listening to it more times really grew on me. [not literally! ;p] :}
