After "Dance With Somebody", N°1 in Germany & Austria, N°3 in Switzerland & N°4 in Sweden, the label AZ will release Mando Diao's new album in France soon. The Swedish band will perform on December 5 at Paris' Bataclan : watch the video for their hit !
Mando Diao is band from Börlange, Sweden, created in 1995. Their name should come from a dream by Björn Dixgård, the band's singer. Björn & keyboardist Daniel Haglund were playing in the band Butler, which splitted because of tensions between musicians. Björn & Daniel founded a new band with singer & guitarist Gustaf Norén. In 1999, Mando Diao went on tour in Swedish clubs. They were the best unsigned band until EMI Sweden signed them.
One of the founding members, Daniel Haglund, has been replaced by Mats Björke. 3 albums have been released between 2002 & today (one solo album for Björn Dixgård). 3 successful albums in Europe but in France, same case for other pop/rock bands, from Kaisers to Sugarplum Fairy (2 of the 3 Norén brothers are in this band) & also Eskobar...
On February 13, the band's fourth album Give Me Fire ! has been released in Europe, except in France. The album is like the 3 others, including the hit "Dance With Somebody". AZ (Universal), following this success in other countries, will release it in France. Be prepared to face Mando Diao !

After a sold-out concert on April 7 at Paris' Maroquinerie, the band will be back on December 5 at Paris' Bataclan.
