Verse 1. (EDEN EYE)
My mouth was a crib and it was growing lies
I didn't know what love was on that day
my heart's a tiny bloodclot
I picked at it
it never heals it never goes away
Bridge.
I burned all the good things in The Eden Eye
we were too dumb to run too dead to die
I burned all the good things in The Eden Eye
we were too dumb to run too dead to die
Chorus.
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
Verse 2.
I would have told her then
she was the only thing
that I could love in this dying world
but the simple word "love" itself
already died and went away
Chorus.
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
Bridge.
I burned all the good things in The Eden Eye
we were too dumb to run too dead to die
I burned all the good things in The Eden Eye
we were too dumb to run too dead to die
Chorus x2
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
This was never my world
you took the angel away
I'd kill myself to make everybody pay
Ending Verse. (APPLE OF DISCORD)
Her heart's a bloodstained egg
we didn't handle with care
it's broken and bleeding
and we can never repair
Her heart's a bloodstained egg
we didn't handle with care
it's broken and bleeding
and we can never repair
and we can never repair...

So depress?
Anyway, this is a pretty good song. It gets old after a while, but it's great while it lasts. | 21-09-2004 10:37 joshclark | 32 posts

Excellent, won't grow old for me. But if i don't listen to it for a while it affects me more. Reminds me of my ex, her second name was Angel. I find it depressing, but its amazing | 02-12-2004 00:47 deviatedsoul | 164 posts

This is my absolute favorite Marilyn Manson song. Very soft and dark. It's incredibly profound and it has so much meaning. It shall never grow old to me!

I cry whenever I hear this song... this song, for me, really encapsulates the essence of sorrow; pain; anguish, It also ,once again, shows tehh futility of humans trying to control their world, for it does them no good... bravo to MM on this one.. it really hits home | 01-04-2005 02:18 GroteskBurlesk9 | 18 posts
| How can this song get old, one can find something new in it every time. Great song though, especially the last verse ( apple of discord) | 12-05-2005 17:56 OrpheusFaust | 6 posts
| I'm always impressed with this song. I'll think I've seen all of manson, then he pulls off something like this. is absolutely amazing, and very powerful. I think my favorite part, both lyrically and instrumentally, is the whole 'I would have told her then she was the only thing that I could love in this dying world, but the simple word of love itself already died and went away'. its oddly sensual too. me and my boyfriend had sex to this once, it was very deep... | 26-05-2005 07:35 getyourgunn | 25 posts

I love this song! "I'd kill myself to make everybody pay"
This is one of the best MM songs IMHO.
SnowAngel32: I heard that Coma White is about a girl who's unconcious (in come or sg, maybe she's just far away...) and Coma Black is 'bout the feeling after the death of the girl. |
