17,109 posts	I hate you Jake. Couldn't you start it with something worth reading? Wanker. The Mars Volta, what can I say. You can just listen to their albums over and over again and not get sick of it, at all. And you always find something new, something you haven't heard before. You get excited about their music everytime you listen to it, even though you've heard it 45728 times before. They have a way of mesmerizing you with their music like no other. Some say they can be hard to listen to, meaning the music is too much. But I remember listening to 'Inertiatic ESP' for the fist time and just falling in love with it all, the music was hitting my heart from the first listen, how cheesy that might sound I don't care. The music just hits you from the start like DUN IN YOUR FACE and you just feel it all, all the energy, THE MUSIC, the energy and you know you love it, and you know you can't get enough. There's alot more to them than just the music, both de-loused and Frances have a story behind them, that goes on beyond the music. I'm guessing Aputechture is the same, but I'm not sure, casue I don't see that one as a story (yet), I can listen to the songs in any order I like and don't feel the anxiety building up inside. Some, no not some, alot of peole say that Frances was a dissapointment, I don't see why. I absolutely love it. As do I Aputechture. I don't compare, I think it's silly. What I'm trying to say is; The Mars Volta is great, you should love them. ..Too bad you are not worthy.

7,341 posts	I'm sure you're going to hate me for saying this but it has to be said. I dislike The Mars Volta. My friend was at one point obsessed with them, therefore I was forced to listen to them a lot more than I wanted to. First off, I actually find that their songs lack a certain energy, I don't know, maybe it's just because of the music I'm used to, but I just found it to be rather annoying. I personally believe that the vocalist has one of the most annoying voices, ever. I will admit some of their songs were well written, and they seem like somewhat of a talented band, but their music, I don't know, overall, it's just not something I like. And once again, I'm sorry this is negative, but oh well.

17,109 posts	Jake, you little loser, the album's called AMPUTECHTURE, not apupuncture. Haha. And I get what you mean Matt, that's what I said , that people think they're hard to listen to and so on. But oh well, your loss I say. ;] But don't be hatin' on Cedric's voice, ese. =( Someone who has listened to Amputechture will knwo what I mean when I say that he sounds more like the Beegees in some parts of some songs. I hadn't even thought about that, until someone pointed it out, and well, yep, his voice does. Not that that's a bad thing, cause it's not, it sounds awsome.
