AboutMartina Sorbara is a Canadian singer-songwriter, born on November 13, 1978 in Canada. She is the daughter of Greg Sorbara, former Finance Minister in Ontario. Her first album Unplaceables came out in 1998. The follow-up, The Cure For Bad Deeds, released in 2000 & re-released in 2002, has been produced by Jian Ghomeshi. The only single from the album was "Bonnie & Clyde 2", that appeared on the compilation Women & Songs & in the soundtrack for the film "What I Want". In 2003, Martina recorded a Christmas song, "It's The Most Wonderful Time" for Nettwerk & her song "Spinning Around The Sun" appeared on the soundtrack for "Uptown Girls".
In 2005, Martina announced the end of her solo career with 2 new songs. At the same time, she formed the band Dragonette with her husband & bassist Dan Kurtz.
