摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera) is a visual kei band, formed by Sono and Yu after the breakup of their previous band Jeniva. While the band's concept was created in 2006, the members did not officially start activities until 2007. The band's name, which translates to "Skyscraper Opera", refers to their music's blend of modern (rock/metal) and traditional (symphonic) elements.
Originary from Tokyo, Japan theri lyrical themes involve Existentialism, personal struggles and relationships.
Their main genres are: Symphonic Hard Rock (early) and Symphonic Power Metal (later).
