Mathieu Chedid - Biography

Mathieu Chedid, also known as -M-, was born on December 21, 1971 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. His father Louis Chedid invited him very young in recording studios. Mathieu learnt music & played in 2 bands, Les Poissons Rouges & Tam-Tam. He performed on studio albums by artists like NTM or Faudel, then he signed to Virgin & recorded his first album, released in 1997.
Le Baptême, poetic & groovy, with Mathieu's funny stories, found its audience & the tour was successful. Following his second album Je Dis Aime in 1999, Mathieu received a Victoire De La Musique for "Male Artist". In 2002, his daughter Billie was born. After his live album in 2001 & the instrumental Labo M in 2002, Mathieu released his successful album Qui De Nous Deux. In 2006, he was part of the cast of the musical "Le Soldat Rose". In January 2009, he left Virgin & signed to Barclay, Mister Mystère came out in September. |
