| 3 posts | Song comment @ Lost Boys And Golden Girls This is a good piece of Meat Loafs music, I love it. The lyrics is so great and that thanks to jimi steinman, gives a great singer a great song. For beeing so long as it is, it doesn't bother whit the time it takes. Vocal, I can only say Meat Loaf, and you know it is the best. Melody is fantastick to, just slow where it should be, right on the spot. |

The song starts out softly, but with emotion ringing through Meat Loaf's performance, building and building to the spectacular second bridge which is up there with 'I Would Do Anything For Love' in terms of sheer awesomeness. But not only are the instrumental and vocal performances perfect for the strength of emotion being expressed, but the lyrics have a simple beauty to them that also fits perfectly. Just an all round brilliant song. |

And earlier on when I listened to it at CD quality for the first time in years, I was hit by just how Awesome it is. (and yes, it really i deserving of the capital 'A' ) From the powerful an perfectly paced and pitched music that thrums in the background throughout, to the brilliant lyrics, and finally to the awe-inspiring vocals that only Meat Loaf can provide, this is one of my all time favorites. |
