Gigantour 2006 and United Abominations

If you thought the inaugral year of Gigantour was huge, 2006 promises to be even bigger
Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine handpicked last years lineup which included Dream Theater, Anthrax, Fear factory, Dillinger Escape Plan and Nevermore.
for the 2006 incarnation, Megadeth will again be headlining alongside Arch Enemy, Opeth, and Lamb of God as well as host of other including several yet to be named second stage bands
the tour will kick off later in the year (being a fall festival instead of summer) kicking off Sept. 7th in San Diego to coincide with the Gigantour Dvd release on Sept 5th
speaking of releases Mustaine has unveiled a Hallowe'en release date for Megadeth latest Album United Abominations. This will be the first album to feature the Drover brothers (Glen and Shawn) who have handled guitar and drum duties on tour since the resurrection of Megadeth in 2004. This will be Megadeth's first album for Roadrunner Records. |
