Charlotte Perrelli wins Melodifestivalen 2008

 Charlotte Perrelli won the Swedish pre-selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song Hero on Saturday evening. She was only second behind Sanna Nielsen in the televote but was the jury groups' favourite performer.
Charlotte Perrelli, former Nilsson, has already won Eurovision Song Contest once. It was in Jerusalem 1999 with the song Take Me to Your Heaven.
The results of the finale is as follows (jury votes + televotes):
1. Hero - Charlotte Perrelli (114 + 110 = 224 points)
2. Empty Room - Sanna Nielsen (74 + 132 = 206 points)
3. Lay Your Love on Me - BWO (70 + 88 = 158 points)
4. Just a Minute - Rongedal (76 + 66 = 142 points)
5. Hur svårt kan det va? - Linda Bengtzing (64 + 0 = 64 points)
6. I lågornas sken - Nordman (4 + 44 = 48 points)
7. That Is Where I'll Go - Sibel (39 + 0 = 39 points)
8. Thank You - Amy Diamond (25 + 11 = 36 points)
9. I Love Europe - Christer Sjögren (1 + 22 = 23 points)
10. Upp o hoppa - Frida feat. Headline (6 + 0 = 6 points) |
