AboutBorn on October 18, 1990 in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla, Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez, better known as Melody, is a Spanish singer of pop genre and elements of flamenco. In 2001, she released her first album debut "De Pata Negra" getting double-platinum and latin platinum disc in Spain and U.S.A. respectively. Her first single "El Baile Del Gorila" became the summer song which was positioned 1st nine times in Spain, four 1st in Argentina, 2nd in USA and 7th in France. Her popularity led her to be nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Album for Children in 2002. In 2009 was presented to the preselection to represent Spain in the show of eurovision, Eurovision 2009: The Return.
