3 posts | This song adds an element of hope to the album "Life's for my own to live my own way..." and appears to glorify rebellion and combat loneliness "One with my mind they just can't see"... which seems very helpful for modern teens. The music works with the vocals in this song and seems to follow it, which to me seems to give the impression that the rest of the world seems to attach itself to the 'revelation' that the vocals are giving out. Also, this song is very realistic, and makes sure people are not too 'out there' to listen to the suddenly transcendant "Creeping Death". This entire album is a work of genius! The fact that Metallica lost its former glory after 'Master of Puppets' makes me wonder if it was actually the late Cliff Burton who was the mastermind behind the band... |
