New blood joins this earth
And quickly he's subdued Through constant pained disgrace The young boy learns their rules With time the child draws in This whipping boy done wrong Deprived of all his thoughts The young man struggles on and on, he's known A vow unto his own That never from this day His will they'll take away What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven They dedicate their lives To running all of his He tries to please them all This bitter man he is Throughout his life the same He's battled constantly This fight he cannot win A tired man they see no longer cares The old man then prepares To die regretfully That old man here is me What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven You labelled me I'll label you So I dub thee unforgiven Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven You labelled me I'll label you So I dub thee unforgiven Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven |

1 posts | I wouldn't rank this song of Metallica's because I am not a musical expert. I didn't go to school to learn about Melodys Rythems and Vocals. But I know that I am a nineteen year old girl, probably the most average 19 year old grl you will ever meet. But I know that listening to music that I love so much that I start the song over in the middle of it because I want to feel the effect again is surreal. Some people don't see music the way I do. Music is another language to me, that I understand in whatever way my mind responds to it. Which is usually a positive response. People take music for granted, not realizing the kind of gift it is. I could listen to everything fro Metallica to Eminem to Beyonce to George Strait all day long and not EVEN care what what "Genre" it belongs to, just as long as it speak to me. The Unforgiven is one of my favorites, I have to say...Metallica knows their stuff. Their music is a gift to me... |

27 posts | An amazing song full of hurt and the want of understanding. The feeling of alienation and loneliness are overwhelming in this tune. But also the feeling of anger. The beginning of emotion coming into Metallica's songs. |

15 posts | I love this. It's slow and it's you know, between the "normal" Metallica and the melodic Metallica. Great. |
