Best known for recording the hit theme to Soul Train, MFSB was the pre-eminent instrumental outfit of Philadelphia soul, backing numerous Kenny Gamble/Leon Huff productions while recording regularly on their own throughout the '70s. @ M.F.S.B.

MFSB is the group who made me discover the Philly Soul and many other great artists from Gamble and Huff's Philadelphia International Records, such as Teddy Pendergrass. The first MFSB song I heard was Love Is The Message. I heard it the first time while I was playing GTA San Andreas on my PS2, and I started to love it. Then, I remembered I had another song by MFSB in my CD collection: it was TSOP (The Sound Of Philadelphia), their first single released in 1973. That was a great song too! I became a fan of that disco orchestra from the 70s and I looked for other songs, and now I almost have their complete discography. The thing that is missing is their 1975 album Universal Love. I only have two songs from that album, Love Has No Time Or Place and Let's Go Disco. They're both fantastic.
